WiShare is a wishlist app operated by WiShare (data controller). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information we collect

  • Account data: email address and authentication identifiers.
  • Wishlist data: list titles, items, notes, images, and shared links.
  • Usage data: anonymous page and interaction data, plus basic logs needed to run and secure the service.
  • Local storage: a device identifier for reservations and install prompt state.

How we use information

  • Provide and operate the wishlist and sharing features.
  • Protect against abuse, fraud, and security issues.
  • Improve the product with anonymous, cookieless analytics; analytics storage is used only after acceptance.

Lawful bases

We process data to perform our contract with you (accounts and lists), for legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, and limited anonymous product measurement), and with your consent for analytics storage and identification. We may process data to comply with legal obligations.

Sharing and disclosure

We use trusted service providers to host and operate WiShare. Shared links allow anyone with the link to view a list. We do not sell personal data.

Service providers

We use Supabase (auth/database), Vercel (hosting), Google OAuth, Zyte (product preview scraping), and related infrastructure providers. We maintain DPAs with processors.

International transfers

Some providers operate outside the EEA. When data is transferred, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and assess transfer risks.

Retention

We keep data for as long as you maintain your account or wishlists. You can delete a list at any time, which revokes its share link. Operational logs are retained for a limited period for security and reliability.

Cookies and local storage

Before you choose, we measure usage anonymously without analytics cookies, analytics local storage, or IP collection. Accepting enables analytics storage so visits can be connected; rejecting stops analytics. You can change your choice below.

Your choices

  • Edit or delete wishlist items from your dashboard.
  • Delete your account from settings or contact support.

Your rights

You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing. You can withdraw consent at any time.
